Could spending 5 minutes a day considering
a "What if..." change your life?
Before I go any further I want to you to
understand a couple things...
I'm not asking you to look back at
a past experience!
I'm not going to ask if you deserve the 5
minutes!
I'm not going to ask you if you are important
enough to give yourself 5 minutes!
I'm not going to ask you to consider why
it's so difficult to give yourself 5 minutes
out of a possible one thousand four hundred
and forty minutes in a day!
...this is an opportunity for you to take a
very small action that just might give you
an opportunity to begin to act on what is
most important for you!
I'm asking you to consider a possibility!
I'm asking you to give yourself a chance!
I'm asking you to give yourself 5 minutes
every morning!
So, you're still here...(warm smile)...great!
Let's get started...
Imagine for a moment that you are doing what
you do everyday. Whether it's shopping, getting
ready for work, taking a lunch break, working
to meet a dead line, exercising or even just
spending some time with you friends or family.
Just imagine the moment!
Are you alone or not?
What is the setting?
Now notice yourself doing what you tend to do
in that moment...just observe yourself.
As you observe yourself take notice of the
person approaching you as they reach out
and hand you a $20.00 bill and say "It's
yours to enjoy!" then walk away.
Again, this is an exercise in "What if?"
Just trust and see what you learn...
As you hold the $20.00 bill in your hands
notice...
your first thought?
how you feel?
...now ask yourself "How will I enjoy
this?"
Go ahead, answer the question!
Ok, with that experience let's imagine
another moment. Again, something you
do everyday...once the moment comes to
mind then begin to observe yourself.
Once again, pay attention to person
approaching you. This person is a bit
different and still they are reaching
out to hand you some money.
This time it's a $50.00 bill and once
again they say "It's yours to enjoy!"
and walk away.
So, instead of a $20.00 bill you're now
holding a $50.00 bill...just imagine,
"what if?"
What would be your first thought?
How would you feel?
And how would you enjoy it?
What a day, right!
Ok, let's go back to you observing
yourself. Choose a moment and begin
to watch yourself as you do what you
do.
Yep, sure enough, here comes another
person and they're reaching out to,
once again, hand you some money. Only
this time it's a $100.00 bill.
And like before the person says "Here,
it's yours to enjoy!" and then walks
away.
Just imagine...
What if you had an extra $100.00 in
your hands, right now, to spend as
you wish.
Would you be doing something different
or not?
How would it feel to be holding a $100.00
bill, right now?
How many $100.00 bills would it take
for you to say "WOW! THIS IS AWESOME!"
How many did you say?
Write it down and keep the number in
a safe place!
