I have and I'm not alone! In fact the company
I keep might surprise those who wouldn't
dream of changing such a thing as their
name.
Like many there was a time I went by Jim
instead of James as I do today. In fact
hearing Jim today sounds much like finger
nails being pulled across a chalk board.
A sound I could easily go a lifetime without
ever experiencing and still be happy!
There is one thing I can say about my name,
I've always loved my middle name Burton!
When it clicks, it works!
Now, if you're someone who doesn't think
twice about your name then congratulations
to you! Just know that this isn't about
you, it's about me and those who simply
don't have any real affinity for their
birth name.
I'm not alone there are many who have
become famous, even a house hold name
and all while using a name that was
different from their given name.

Yes, I have up until the past few months
gone by James B Smith even though I cringe
at the sound of it!
Why did it take so long?
Finally, as I worked on some writing the
idea of a "pen name" struck me as being
just the thing. After some time and
inspiration it hit me...
James Possible!
...like someone saying "WOW! I could have
had a V8!, James Possible ran through my
veins like greased lightening.
I just made sense!
I have had someone I work closely with refer
to me as James "Possible" Smith. Which works
and still it's not really what I am after.
Even though I understand it...wink!
Today you might know Leslie Lynch King, Jr.
as...drum roll please...

the same way.
Life is about choice and no matter what
happens you will always have a choice.
Even when the choice is not obvious it
is there!
Today I'm sharing with you a choice I have
made. I will go by James Possible moving
